The tobacco industry is navigating a landscape of evolving regulations, prompting companies to reconsider their compliance strategies. Amid these changes, maintaining a strong Quality Management System (QMS) remains essential for ensuring product quality, fostering brand loyalty, and protecting corporate reputation.
Recent developments underscore the unpredictability of tobacco regulations. For example, the withdrawal of proposed rules to ban menthol cigarettes and flavored cigars suggests possible shifts in regulatory priorities. Such reversals highlight how quickly regulatory expectations can change, underscoring the need for companies to remain vigilant, adaptable, and consistently prepared for unexpected shifts in the compliance landscape.

Many people have difficulty understanding the Nutrition Facts label, especially with regards to properly interpreting and using the information about serving sizes and the percent Daily Values. This webinar will clear up some of the confusion about these and other labeling issues, and will answer such questions as:
What exactly is the percent Daily Value and why is it not included for all the nutrients that are listed on the label?
How should I use the percent Daily Value in deciding which foods to purchase?
Why do some labels have two columns of nutrition information?
Why do some labels include a relatively large number of vitamins and minerals, and some hardly list any at all?
This webinar will also discuss some of the science that went into developing the Nutrition Facts label and explain why FDA decided to update and modernize the label in 2016. By attending this webinar, you will become a more knowledgeable label reader.
